Movement Challenge: Raising awareness for suicide prevention

In honor of Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, Mindstrong held a company-wide movement challenge to raise money for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. We encouraged our employees to participate in any kind of movement that they enjoyed, including going for a run, playing with kids, or even gardening. One point was awarded for every 20 minutes of movement that an employee tracked and each randomized team competed to earn the most points each week. Once our company collectively reached 5,000 points, we were able to make our donation!

Now that the month has come to a close, we’re proud to show you some of the incredible moments that our employees shared over the course of the challenge.

Although Suicide Prevention Awareness Month may be in September, local Out of the Darkness community walks are hosted by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention all year round. Check out their site to find one near you!
